Flood Watch until 11 a.m.; AM rain, mostly cloudy
Highs: 85-88
Winds: South 5-10 mph
Morning downpours may lead to localized flash flooding in some areas. Avoid flooded roadways. Rain should come to an end by noon. Skies turn mostly cloudy with isolated showers and storms for the rest of the day.
Rain Late, Some Areas May Be Heavy

Winds: East 5 mph
A warm front returns overnight with higher humidity and rain for the morning commute. High rainfall rates may give way to flash flooding.

TOMORROW:
Partly cloudy, PM storms
Highs: 90-94
Heat Index: 98-102
Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph
Partly cloudy for most, with isolated showers and storms by the afternoon. The best chance for storms looks to occur along the I-81 corridor and west of Highway 15. Any storms that move into the D.C. metro should weaken as the evening progresses.

Highs: 90-94
Heat Index: 98-102
Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph
The daily afternoon storm chance continues with a higher chance for stronger storms west of the D.C. area. Storms may approach the Capital Beltway in time for the evening commute. The threats from these storms would be damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall.

Partly cloudy, PM storms
Highs: 88-92
Heat Index: 95-100
Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph
Most of the day should stay dry, but afternoon storms are likely to develop again with the threat for damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall.

SUNDAY:
Mostly sunny
Highs: 89-93
Heat Index: 96-100
Winds: West 5-10 mph
Although the rain chance goes away, the heat and humidity continues. High temperatures will be in the low 90s with the heat index near 100 degrees.
