On a per-share basis, the Maumee, Ohio-based company said it had net income of $1.65. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $2.15 per share.
The agriculture company posted revenue of $3.1 billion in the period.
Andersons shares have climbed 31% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $69.86, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
